i was prescribed prednisone last week for hearing loss. on my birthday yesterday, i woke up at 4:13am and was in excruciating pain in my feet, ankles & knees. when i tried to get out of bed, i couldn't walk. it took a couple of hours before i was able to get on my feet and get outside of my bedroom. in the meantime, i talked to my pharmacist, and put in calls to my primary care physician and mass eye & ear where i'm being seen for hearing loss. after being seen by my pcp in the afternoon, it was determined that the prednisone was responsible for the partial short-term paralysis. i want to know if this has been experienced by others?? what a frightening thing.
